About Us
The Vintage Snowmobile Magazine is published quarterly by Kohn & Kohn LLC. Below is some of the history of the VSCA.
The Vintage Snowmobile Club of America (VSCA) was founded by Gary Webster in 1987. The club organized and spread across the Snowbelt of the US and Canada. Gary started this publication as a newsletter that he compiled at his kitchen table. Mike Kohn took over the newsletter in about 1994, and published “The Vintage Snowmobiler” through 1999 and turning it from a newsletter to a magazine. Mike also served as the last President of the VSCA as a club. Charles Pluedemann then took over things and decided to operate the VSCA as a publication only, dropping the non-profit status.
The Magazine’s name changed from “The Vintage Snowmobiler” to “Vintage Snowmobile Magazine” which it is still named today.
About 2 seasons later, the magazine changed hands again, to a person named Hoffmann.
In 2004, Mike Meagher had the opportunity to purchase the magazine and keep it alive, after the former owner was unable to continue with it.
In the Spring of 2023, Mike Kohn returned as Editor after a 22 year hiatus from the hobby, bringing the publication back full-circle.
And in September of 2025, Mike Kohn had the opportunity to purchase the magazine from Mike Meagher, who ran it for over 20 years!
Today, Vintage Snowmobile Magazine is the Gold Standard for news, information and historical information about the snowmobiles of yesteryear.
The magazine is published in March, June, September and December.
